You can make a positive difference for people in your community living with dementia and their carers by volunteering for Dementia Oxfordshire.
Volunteers make a valuable contribution to the service we are able to provide for people in Oxfordshire.
We have a variety of opportunities where you can help to support people living with dementia. We hope you’ll find this experience both enjoyable and rewarding.
If you are interested in volunteering please contact us on 01865 410 210.
Applications are welcomed from people with a wide range of experience, from all ages and backgrounds.
We provide training and on-going support for our volunteers. All volunteers are required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide two satisfactory references.
We look forward to working with you!
The types of volunteering opportunities available include:
Helping out at activity/memory clubs and carers support groups.
A companion or buddy to enable people to attend meetings and groups.
Transporting individuals to local services.
Helping with fundraising opportunities.
Supporting our Dementia Action Week events in May each year.
Assisting our team of Dementia Advisors and Support Workers, who support people living with dementia out in the community.
